Education:

Zandra Stino is an associate professor at the Fischler College of Education. She teaches at the masters, educational specialist, and doctoral levels. Before joining Nova Southeastern University, she was an assistant professor and Chair of the Division of Education at Thomas University in Thomasville, GA. Previously she worked with Leon County Schools to develop a curriculum for adult beginning readers and a curriculum for adults with special learning needs. At Thomas University, she obtained middle grades accreditation from the GA Professional Standards Commission and created a secondary and postbaccalaureate program. At NSU she helped revise the educational specialist program and helped to create the doctoral program in reading. She has several publications and regularly presents at state, national, and international conferences. In addition to teaching, she serves on doctoral dissertation committees, serves on a school advisory committee for an elementary school, and conducts student observations. She has also reviewed proposals for the Florida Reading Association and the International Literacy Association.
